Book Reviews
Endless Referrals, Third Edition
Author: Bob Burg
Rating: 5
Review: This is a well written, excellent book. Mr. Burg provides the reader with some very good examples and ways to build a long lasting profitable referrals business. He bases his book on the long standing of giving before receiving which is even more appealing! This book is a MUST read for any person in ANY business! It's all about networking and building your network into a group of people that you refer business to, and that refers business to you!
The Automatic Millionaire: A Powerful One-Step Plan to Live and Finish Rich
Author: David Bach
Rating: 4
Review: Over all the book pretty closely follows my thoughts on life. Mr. Bach is a bit repititious (and I see that across his books), but his message is worth repeating I guess. His recommendations are well worth reading and following. The book is easy to read, and easier to follow! Worth the reading!
Lives of the Saints: From Mary and St. Francis of Assisi to John XXIII and Mother Teresa
Author: Richard P. Mcbrien
Rating: 4
Review: While he had too many "political" comments in his writing, over all this book did it's job, which was to introduce us to many of the roughly three thousand Saints on the books of the Catholic Church. He also lays out, roughly, how one becomes a Saint in the Catholic Church. I like how at the end, he goes through a "chronological" review of the Saints as they lived, which tied them more closely to history, which was nice. Worth reading if you don't know much about the Saints of the Catholic Faith. Received a 4 out of 5 due to the politics...
Well, this weekend was busy but good! Friday night I was accepted into the Knights of Columbus and received my 1st and 2nd Degree’s in the Knights. On Saturday I received my 3rd Degree and was Knighted. All is moving along well for me in my new path of life. I should probably have listened to the calling earlier in my life when I started receiving it….
I’ve considered that and other possible choices, but now it’s pretty much up to what the Order wants me to do. I’ll go where the Good Lord wishes me to go!
Congratulations on your knighthood! As for listening to your calling when you started to receive it, trust that everything happens for a reason, and that maybe then wasn’t the right time to listen.
Thanks Dawn! In that when the calling first started, when I was 15 (almost 32 years ago) and NOT Catholic, and the Order I was dreaming about for three years wasn’t even formed until 9 years ago, I guess it probably wasn’t. I’m guessing I needed to be “Formed” with knowledge so I would be able to do more for more people at this stage in my life… We shall see! (I pray we will see anyway!)

Have you considered a “Ph.D.” in Religious Studies?

Hello Mr. Anonymous,
I’ve considered that and other possible choices, but now it’s pretty much up to what the Order wants me to do.
I’ll go where the Good Lord wishes me to go!

Alls well that ends well in the end.
