My ramblings as I move forward in my life Journey.

I don’t get it.. Facebook…

Ok, first (or more recently anyway), we have the guy that was married to one lady, and was messing around with another lady, then he took a trip to Disney World and got married, while still married to the first lady, to this lady. And the lady has the gumption to post the wedding pictures on her Facebook page. Busted!

Now, I have a friend here in my area that has been dating a guy for several weeks, and it was getting serious. “Exclusive” supposedly. Then the guy goes out and finds another lady, concurrently, and posts about it on his facebook page. BUSTED!

I have heard many stories like this. WHY are people so dumb to post such things to get themselves in trouble?

I still don’t get Facebook in general though… Or Twitter, or MySpace (is that still around, don’t hear much about it anymore?), or ….

I don’t ‘get’ facebook either and I didn’t like friends reunited (You have to ask permission if you wan’t to leave – just like school!)My daughter tells me you can buy packs of friends on Facebook. I’d rather go out and meet ‘real’ ones.

Yeah, I don’t know how or why someone would think it would be a good idea to post incriminating pics. I still use Facebook and Twitter, but I have long-since left MySpace. Seems like it’s mostly been taken over by teenagers and younger crowds.

I can only guess is that they are for those who LOVE to socialize to anyone. I have all 3, the Twitter (hardly use it and it’s a long story to why I opened an account there, but I too see it as useless), Myspace (long story too but I don’t use it anymore) and Facebook. I only use Facebook to play a game. If it wasn’t involved with Facebook, I would have removed my account there.

I used to be addicted to Facebook, but I’m regulating myself on it now. For me it’s great, because my family doesn’t live by me, so I can catch up with everyone and see pics. I think MySpace is officially dead…I don’t know anyone who uses it anymore.

While posting these kinds of things on Facebook is certainly stupid one might also call getting involved with two people at the same time rather stupid, but maybe that’s just me?

Oh, I have to agree with you, not only is it stupid, but to me it is amoral, illegal (in the case of marrying twice at once, at least in the US), and who has the energy and time to share between two people in the way they SHOULD be sharing with one person!?

Yeah people really do like to post things on there that they shouldn’t. A very good site to see some things that people just shouldn’t post, or people that “fail” at trying to say what they’re saying, or people being grammar nazi’s on peoples facebook pages, check out http://failbook.failblog.org (by the way I’m in no way affiliated with that site, just been reading a lot of stupid things from people there).
I for one enjoy facebook, but don’t go do stupid things and post about it.
I used to like myspace but it was too cluttered, too many people adjusting the html/css on their pages and making it just look horrible, or load slow.
Twitter… I like twitter, but at the same time I hate it! I keep in touch with a few people on there that I no longer live near. It’s great to keep people updated. Most of the time though what people say and how they type really annoys me. Plus there is A LOT of spam, and I’m not talking the delicious canned meat, hahah.
